2nd blog

Progress for the cscvb project has been coming along nicely and timely.  Majority of the power point presentation has been put together and I am considering also trying to make a prezi presentation for it as well.  I tried making a simple alteration to the title of the presentation which keeps it simple and stays in tough with the previous name of the class.  I've also come up with a way to rephrase the whole section on leads so that it is more direct/straight to the point and cuts out a lot of the excess wordiness.  I used several images in it as well that capture different areas of Colorado Springs to show the beauty of the city and are just more visually appealing for the audience to look at compared to the previous presentation.  I have also been able to grasp a better understanding of the power of ten concepts and have incorporated those more into the power point as well.  Basically. I have been focusing on how to simplify the overall presentation for the new members class while at the same time making it more thorough and more simple for the audience to understand and grasp.

cscvb introduction

Hi there!  My name is Casie Nappo and I am a Jr college student at the University of Colorado @ Colorado Springs.  I was born and raised in the Bay Area in California, and have now been in Colorado for just over one year.  Currently I am working on a project for the Business Writing course where we are helping to redesign a presentation for the Colorado Springs Convention Bureau.  This presentation is for new members who have just joined in being assisted by the CSCVB in getting their business out to the world in hopes of further increasing business.

The Colorado Springs Convention Bureau has many excellent features to offer their new business members.  My main focus is to redesign their current power point presentation in order to make it more visually appealing, interesting, and informative.  I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made on improving the presentation of the power point with some more details and editing to come.  I've used plain English to make slides more simple to follow and understand as well as found a simpler way to explain the use of leads.  I know the previous presentation has a lot of potential and room for improvement and I'm pleases to be given a chance to improve it.
